Hi Everyone, A couple of pieces of housekeeping for you. As our program is growing, we need to make a few shifts to keep things working optimally for all.
The 5:30 open gym time will now have some specific parameters. It used to work that people could come in to work on the skill work they needed, or lift, or possibly make up a wod. Now, many are using it to run the wod posted for that day. Being that it isn't a coached session this no longer works. Not everybody is experienced enough to run themselves through wods safely, without instruction and coaching. Since safety is our number one priority going forward here is the structure for 5:30.
To be using the room at 5:30, you must obtain permission from the instructor in the room at the time. You may lift, do the wod posted, or make up a wod from that week, provided the instructor in the room feels you are competent to do so. Whatever you are doing must be finished, with everything cleaned up and put away by 5:25 at the very latest. Absolutely no exceptions to this.
Please also note that our instructors use that hour to do their own training. We are all committed to being helpful, however during unscheduled class times, our workouts take priority. Please be respectful of this.
We appreciate everyone's effort to being on time. All rooms in the facility change over every 60 minutes. It's not only our schedule, but all classes and instructors we need to be respectful of. As a reminder, it's a facility wide policy to not allow people into class who are more than five minutes late. Unless you have made previous arrangements with that night's coach, be prepared for the door to be closed after five minutes.
If you are hurt, don't not come to class. There is always something you can do. We can modify, give a progression, or sub anything. We are happy to do this. We are not happy to give you a sub because you just don't feel like it. Show up, do the work. End of story.
Lastly, just a reminder that your cell phones need to remain in your gym bag. No texting, face-timing, or anything else during your training time. If you are reading, then you aren't really working out. If you are on call, or have an emergency then let your instructor know before class begins.
