sorry guys, you're just going to have to tough it out. No tape on the bar. You can however tape your hands if necessary.

Lake

Pain is my pleasure! So, you are all welcome. I will begin my next torture device soon! Just kidding! A little.
Bar tape would work. Eventually it will wear out. And become sticky. A solid neoprene sleeve. Is the only clean and long lasting solution. Or we can all tough it out. And become pull-up legends!!!

Niall

New pull up bars are great! Thanks Lake.

Was thinking that to make things easier on the hands, could experiment wrapping some bar tape? I probably have some lying around at home un-used.

Or maybe its better to leave them as-is to help condition the palms, I dunno.

Robert

THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!! Just another torture device for Kat to use...please don't do the rings to early, cause that will hurt..

World Class Fitness in 100 Words

  • ■ Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.

    ■ Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast.

    ■ Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense.

    ■ Regularly learn and play new sports.
